Growing up, I never gave pet nutrition a second thought. It was simple: go to the store, pick the food that seemed “best,” or trust what your vet recommended and then stick with it for years. No one questioned the ingredients. No one really talked about what “good nutrition” could look like.

As I went through my journey to become a vet tech, volunteered in rescues, and later became a certified dog trainer, I started to realize that nutrition plays a bigger role in overall wellbeing than most pet parents are ever told.

So I built Sweet Canines Shop with a clear goal: to make real-ingredient pet treats something everyday families can feel good about. No judgement, just guidance, transparency, and affordable options that fit real life.

I also wanted our brand to mean more than what’s in the bag. By sourcing local products from Niagara, ON whenever possible, we’re supporting other small businesses in our community.
